Birth and Postnatal Doula

During labour, she brought a peaceful, steady energy into the room and completely transformed the space and ensured the use of the room for birth environment that suited me, making use of the mats and softer lighting.
When the midwife told me how dilated I was and I started to feel discouraged, Alex kept me thinking positively and suggested positions and walks that absolutely helped my labour progress. She held me through the worst contractions, made me feel incredibly safe.
She also gave my husband Andy reassurance, and such advice as counter-pressure techniques he needed to support me.
She ensured we were well-informed for every decision and beautifully protected our golden hour, staying just until we were ready for some quiet time alone as a new family.
That incredible support didn’t stop once we got home. Having Alex with us for postnatal support at home has been just as invaluable. She has been a calm anchor for our whole family, stepping in with practical help, emotional reassurance, and the same nurturing presence she brought to our birth space.
