Hello! I'm Alex (She/Her)
I live in sunny Worthing with my wife and two young children.. I absolutely love living by the sea and when I am not working, I can usually be found exploring nature with my family.

As your Doula
Welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy, I am so pleased you have found your way here. This special time in life calls for support, regardless of the type of birth you wish for.

I believe there is a doula for everyone and everyone deserves, and can benefit from, the support a doula will offer you.
I’d consider myself a grounded and intuitive doula. Someone who has a respect and appreciation for our connection to nature and ancient wisdoms surrounding pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

My role as your doula is to understand you, hear you and know what you need. I am non-judgemental and here to support you in your choices. To hold space where your voice is heard and your choices are honoured. To be a steady presence in the room, offering quiet reassurance if plans change.
I support all kinds of births, for all kinds of families; whether you're first or fourth time parents, birthing at home or in hospital, planned cesarean, donor and/or assisted conception, LGBTQ+ families, single by choice parents and every one in between.

Choosing to have me by your side throughout this transformative time in your life is a deeply felt, precious, honour.
If you’d like to chat more, I'd love to connect with you.

My Why

My son was born at the very beginning of the pandemic in 2020. Prior to his birth, through antenatal lessons and my own research, I'd learnt about my options, I knew I had choices and that I'd need to advocate for myself and I knew my wife would need to be my voice when I was in labour.
When things began to deviate from my plan, we knew what to do, we used methods taught to us to make informed decisions and for the most part, my voice was heard and everything that happened felt like a choice. So despite my birth not going to plan whatsoever and with a long list of interventions, I came away feeling positive about my birth.

And then came postpartum, this was very lonely during the pandemic, care was pretty much non-existent and I had huge amounts of anxiety about the unknowns of a new baby. I didn’t even consider that I myself may need some extra care during the postpartum period. And I really did.
In 2024 I gave birth to my daughter, this time with more knowledge of myself and the experience of my first birth to guide me,

I practiced hypnobirthing, learnt more about the importance of the hormones of pregnancy and had trust in myself and my body’s capability, through a deep connection to myself and my baby I'd fostered during my pregnancy.
While reflecting on my experiences during maternity leave, I found my calling to be a doula. To support mothers and birthing people during birth and postpartum, to be empowered with this knowledge and trust in themself, even if they hadn’t given birth before. To walk besides mothers during the fragile transition to motherhood, nourish them and be a steady presence throughout it all.
I went on to train with Developing doulas in 2025, and I have been supporting friends and family at various stages of matrescence for as long as I can remember.
