Birth Doula
Worthing and surrounding areas

Bespoke Birth Support

As your doula, throughout your pregnancy I will get to know you and your partner, learn about your preferences and desires for your birth, and work out how I can best support you in having the birth you want.

Over a couple of antenatal sessions in your home, we will chat through what to expect and how to prepare for birth and postpartum.

We will explore what you need to feel safe and to have trust in your ability to birth your baby.

I will calmly work away to create your ideal environment for labour and birth, whether at home or in the hospital, advocate for you and protect your bubble.

I will support your partner, ensuring they are as involved as you both wish, having an eye on things and quietly blending into the background, keeping things steady behind the scenes.

My aim is for you to feel reassured, grounded and supported in your choices. I will continuously meet you where you are, adjusting when needed, and supporting you in your choices.

It’s truly a privilege to be part of your birthing team.

Everyone deserves postnatal support.

Support in the weeks after birth makes a real difference. Research on continuous doula care across birth and the early postpartum period has shown links with more positive feelings about their early parenting experience and a higher likelihood of establishing and continuing breastfeeding.

I provide calm, flexible, non‑judgmental support, guided by what you need in the moment.

How a visit looks can really vary depending on your family's needs and how you're feeling on the day. But to help build a picture of what to expect, here are some things that will likely come up during a postnatal visit from me:

  • Baby feeding support and encouragement - Breastfeeding or bottle

I am a NHS trained breastfeeding peer supporter

  • Baby care support gentle guidance and reassurance with everyday care

  • Caring for your baby so you can rest, shower, or eat

  • Emotional support and reassurance time to chat through how you are feeling

  • Confidence building and encouragement as you adjust to life with a new baby

  • Preparing nutritious, tasty meals to support your recovery

  • Light household tasks, such as washing up, vacuuming, or putting a load of laundry on

  • Sibling care where needed

  • Sharing information about local baby groups and support networks
